Heaven ablaze in our eyes We're standing still in time The blood on our hands is the wine, We offer as sacrifice Come on, and show them your love, Rip out the wings of a butterfly, For your soul, my love, Rip out the wings of a butterfly, For your soul, This endless mercy mile, We're crawling side by side, With hell freezing over in our eyes, Gods kneel before our crime
Isaac had the day off today, and he had been watching Game of Thorns. He felt like a stalker, watching his best friend who he had stood up for their time to hang out. He had just freaked out. And then, of course, the hospital thing happened. And that was the last time the two had come face to face. But he couldn’t help himself, he had to see his best friend, and so, he found himself hiding out of view, watching the shop that Oliver worked at, when he saw what happened. Oliver disappeared in a puff of smoke and Isaac’s eyes widened when he saw Mr. Gold walk by with a smirk on his face. Magic. That was what the purple smoke had been. He knew it too, seeing as he remembered the worlds with magic they all had come from.
Who would believe him? There wasn’t anyone else who remembered their land, other than maybe the mayor (though Slightly wasn’t sure about her remembering, it was just a hunch), but she wouldn’t care. Obviously Gold, the child of his savior. If anyone were to remember it made sense that it would be him. Slightly cursed to himself, before he finally came up with a thought. The sheriff. He’d watched Nibs long enough to know that those two had a relationship of a sort. Graham would care if Oliver went missing. Slightly quickly stood, and ran off as fast as he could to the police station.
Lucky for him, Graham was there, though Isaac was slightly out of breath, partially from panic. He told Graham that Oliver was missing, though he didn’t mention the magic. While Graham expressed that Oliver was probably just fine, Isaac expressed such concern that Graham agreed to help him look for Oliver, all the while saying that it was all probably an overreaction. Isaac insisted on checking into places Gold had, secluded places. Graham couldn’t do it without a warrant, but drove Isaac to the places regardless and turned a blind eye when Isaac broke in.
Then, finally, when they reached an area that was supposed to contain an underground cellar, but there was nothing. Graham tried convince him to leave, but Isaac couldn’t help but feel something was wrong, and told Graham that he could go and leave him here. Isaac felt the ground, but there was nothing. He looked around, just feeling that there was something, something here. Then he saw a glint somewhere on the ground and he quickly ran and dropped around the area, feeling around, finding a small stone ruin that glowed as he pressed his flesh on it. A prick in his palm drawing blood. He winced with the sting of pain, as a stairway opened up.
If Oliver wasn’t here, Isaac was going to kill someone. Probably not Gold, Slightly wasn’t that stupid, even if he really wanted to try. He had to be alive if he was going to save Oliver from him, after all. Then he could die. That would fine then, once he knew that the boy he loved was safe.
He made his way down the stairs, slowly entering a dark room, looking around, seeing Oliver chained up to a wall, unconscious, bleeding from his arms and his leg. “Oliver!” He ran up to him, careful not to touch him because he was hurt enough as it was. He was breathing heavily, and trying to think of a way to get him out of there. The chains. They had locks. Isaac quickly patted himself down and pulled out a wire. “It’s okay. I’m going to get you out of here, alright?” He didn’t even know if Oliver could hear him as he began working on the chains around his wrists.
