That morning had turned out to be like all others. Class work had been something she tended to focus on. After all she had about twenty or so students to reach. And it was as important as ever for the next generation to learn, all that they could. Today was one of those days where she wasn't even in class. Because they had the day off for whatever reason, she didn't really know. All she knew was that she didn't have a reason to be in school and so she had gone back towards the apartment. Every day in this town was the same. Morning breakfasts at Granny's and her usual running around doing the errands for the day. Which during the school week was always impossible to get done. Home. It was a special and sacred place...where hopes and dreams were built and sometimes dashed. The apartment of course was not a bad place...as it had done what she had needed to. It was after all the only place she could recollect living in. But there were other things that made very little sense to her. It had all started the day after class when she had seen one of her students seem down and out. Henry of course, one of her pupils, had been upset because he'd believed nothing. And one thing she had always believed in was that there was hope. No matter where one looked.
Yet after she had given him that Book of fairy tales that had appeared one day in her bedroom closet, he had tried to make her think that there was something off about this town. And all of it's inhabitants. And while she had not exactly believed him, she had of course liked to see him light up for having something to believe in. Speaking of having something to believe in, Henry had gone to her to get Emma out of jail. Why she had helped the woman, was simple. Because there was something about her that seemed familiar and also because Henry had asked. Though deciding that she needed a roommate had taken a while. As at the time Emma had been living at the inn so there was no thought of even offering it. But once Regina reached the decision she had against Emma, it was disappointing to learn that the woman was reduced to living in her car. That was the last straw. Always helping others, she couldn't just stand for Emma living that way.
Speaking of that, she had made the decision to offer the woman a room in her apartment. She just had a feeling the two of them would get along well. She had come up to the apartment and the apartment was as spotless as always. The front door was unlocked as she was expecting Emma to roll in like a hurricane. She had taken a deep breath as she had made sure that the room Emma was moving into was ready as well because after all she wasn't going to have any of her stuff in there. As otherwise what was the point in having Emma move in? Yet she was slightly nervous hoping the apartment looked good when Emma walked in, which should be any minute....but she did not know how much Emma had to bring in.
