I don't want to be the one the battles always choose 'cause inside I realize that I'm the one confused "Alice! No! Don't!" Cyrus shot up from his slumber. His breath was heavy, and he was frantically looked around, left to right. He was definitely not in Wonderland anymore. So, where was this? The last thing he remembered was Alice using one of her wishes to get them somewhere safe. That could have meant anywhere. It was far too vague, but he understand that she must have been in a panic. After all, only a moment ago he was falling to his death.
The bigger problem at hand was that he didn't see her in his line of vision. Hearing a weird rumbling, Cyrus looked to his side. A strange black machine was making this horrible honking noise at him. Unknown to him, he was right in the middle of the street. Confused, Cyrus simply rolled to the side to let the smoking beast pass him up, which it did.
With a frown on his face, Cyrus began to stand up. What he failed to realize was that another smoking beast on wheels was coming at him in the opposite direction. This time is was bright red. The red one stopped, the driver slamming on their breaks just before it had the chance to hit him. 'Get out of the road!' was yelled clearly out the window at him.
Cyrus was very close to being pummeled, and was surprised that the middle of what he now knew to be a road was where that wish had chosen for some place safe. He held a hand up in apology for the driver and began to make his way to a smaller road, meaning the sidewalk. Figuring it was too small for the machines to run over, he decided to stand there for a minute and take another look around. "Alice!" He called out, but still didn't see her anywhere. "ALICE!" He yelled again at the top of his lungs.
Between his screaming and his confused face, he probably looked insane to anyone passing by. That, however, was the least of his concerns. His biggest fear was that Alice might have gotten thrown into a different land. Wishes could be horrible at that. The prices for using them were always so high that it was practically dangerous. In some cases, even life threatening.
