Your Alias: Atlas
Other Characters: Pan
General Personality:
First and foremost it must be said that the most important aspect of Gideon's personality is is unending love and loyalty to his family, though, for Gideon, family is more than just blood. Gideon was raised to be a war mage and champion of the people. His father took immense pride in him, but always expected him to be more, whether it was stronger, faster, more powerful, smarter, always just better, never quite good enough as he was. This was not shown in a hateful or cruel way, it simply existed. He has a fantastic sense of humor and contrary to what one would think from his upbringing and job, he loves practical jokes. Much of his personality could be considered rather base; his love of women, food, and drink. Because of what people see on the outside, it is assumed that he is something of a womanizer, though this is not true.
Gideon in non death filled or extremely serious moments that require attention and his full attention, Gideon is both passionate and compassionate. Mostly he just gets a little edgy around too much death, or when he doesn't have some kind of companion. Gideon simply does not do well alone and without bonds. He is fully capable of falling in love, though he believes that the darkness that fills his life, mostly due to his brother, would prevent him from ever being able to settle down.

History: Gideon has been stuck in his box, the Gravicube, this entire time. Inside he is in suspended animation, so time has completely stopped for him. He is unable to sense anything, inside or out. Until someone opens the box.
Fairy Tale History:
Gideon was born about 240 years ago to a pair of fairly powerful mages. He spent many of his earliest years tagging along behind his father as he worked, though he never missed his mother's delicious meals. Around 2 he began displaying an intellect and affinity for various spells that caught his parents' attention. They took him to a council of mages to have his magic tested. His magic was impressive on a scale near prodigy level, and it was strongly suggested to his parents that they allow him to find his strongest magical affinity, and to encourage him to flourish in it.
Within the year his affinity for gravitation magic made itself known, a surprising, yet pleasing, turn of events. This magic was ancient, and almost entirely unheard of. The power to control the very force of the earth and sun. Of course, at this time, very little was actually known about gravity, so their understanding of what the boy could do was murky at best. Even so, for the next three years Gideon was trained by his father, mother, and a few other mages that were within easy reach. When he was six, his little brother was born. His parents, mainly his father, quickly instilled the importance of him looking out for and taking responsibility for his younger sibling.
From the moment Gideon laid eyes on Mumur he felt a strong, unbreakable bond of brotherhood with him. As he grew up, he spent as much time with Murmur as much as he was allowed, between training sessions and scholarly lessons. He often brought the younger boy gifts, and soon began to attempt teaching him bits and pieces of what he had learned. His father grew angry over time, until he simply refused to stand by. He lashed out at Gideon, commanding him to never allow his brother to use any magic that was not healing magic. He was told that Murmur was to be a healer, and nothing else.
There was almost nothing that Gideon would disobey his father over, but Gideon had been raised during war, and had been privy to many of the horrors therein. He firmly believed that though healing magic was important, Murmur needed to be able to protect himself. In his late teenage years, Gideon was ordered by the ruler of the land to attend court as a battle mage, where he quickly rose through the ranks as a powerful and impressive mage leader. He often came home to his family, where he would spend most of his time with his little brother mother, or sparring with his father.
During his visits with young Murmur, Gideon resumed his brother's secret training, leaving him books filled with mostly lesser spells and various kinds of magic. He had never intended for Murmur to learn anything too dangerous, and had never expected the boy to grow powerful in anything specific. A mistake he would live to regret. Around age 20 he received news that tore his heart apart. He rushed home to find that the news of his mother's demise was true. It took no time for his father to tell him what had happened, or at least, what he believed had happened.
Gideon's first instinct was to find his brother and tell him it wasn't his fault. wanting only to protect him and bring him home, but their father stopped him, ordering him to come back and listen. Gideon hesitated, and then ran, spending several years looking for his brother, always following in his wake, always fixing the horrors he left behind. One day, Gideon returned home. His heart heavy after many battles with man, beast, and countless monsters, Gideon sought only to find solace in his father's home.
His father, enraged that he had not caught or stopped Murmur, demanded an explanation. Gideon pleaded with his father, explaining the many battles, including the ones that pit his power against Murmurs, though the result never changed. Gideon would not kill Murmur, and it seemed Murmur could not kill Gideon. His father's anger seemed to go cold for a long moment. Gideon stood still as his father cast a spell on him, telling him that because his bond with his blood was so great, he would be cursed to live as long as his blood did.
Gideon left his father, and continued his life of service to those that needed him, and still forever followed his brother, wishing only to save him. Gideon returned to his family home only once more, when news of his father's death reached him. He buried him next to the still living boys' mother.
Some time later the cursed mist that would change the world overtook the enchanted forest. News reached Gideon's ears just early enough to fashion the Gravicube, a box that possessed a pocket in gravity capable of swallowing an immense amount of matter, though it was only the size of a softball. The last memory Gideon can recall before jumping into the box, and thus closing it until someone else would come along and unleash him, was looking around, and calling loudly once more for his sibling. Then he took a breath, looked in and said, "Shoulda definitely banged that wench at the tavern." With that he leaped in.
