[attr="class","textieno"]Magic was back, and really, Gold didn’t need more money. But with tensions soon to rise beyond anything he wanted to get involved in, he didn’t want to outwardly be known as a magic user. He would prefer to stay out of the conflict, even though he was the one who caused it in the first place. Gold had gotten tired of Emma taking her own sweet time to break the curse. He’d gotten impatient, and wound up bringing magic back. With magic, he could break free from this stupid little town and find his son. He didn’t quite know where he was headed yet, but he would in all due to time. And then he would collected on that favor from Emma, to accompany him to find his son, as he hadn’t ever dealt with whatever kind of world was out beyond these borders. It had to be a terrible world if what they had been living in was normal.

All of this was to say that he had to act completely normal, like he always did. He never missed rent day, and that day was today. Regardless, he quite enjoyed rent day. He was able to piss off Moe French a bit more, because well, rent was due and he hadn’t quite enough. He tried to bargain with him, but it didn’t matter, that man had killed her, or at least driven her to death and he would never forgive him. He had her love, and he let it go. Of course, after he beat the man a bit ago for stealing from him, Gold was finally able to express this, and it felt good. So did torturing the man a little bit more anytime he got, even if he had to be a little easier because of that beating. It was totally worth it.

And now it was for the godforsaken bar called the Rabbit Hole. Sure, there was a man in there who used to be his clock, that was why he hadn’t closed the place down yet. But it was a place for scum. He’d seen the Sheriff of Nottingham there fairly often when he collected rent, though today he was going earlier in the day than normal, to avoid that crowd of scum that came in.

Gold opened the door and approached the bar, his vision immediately going to the bartender who seemed to scramble. Gold was grinning. However, when the bartender approached he had a look on his face that he didn’t want to see. It was the same face he’d seen on Moe French so often. His smile turned into a frown. “You have my money, don’t you?” Oh, he didn’t want to tear the clock a new one. He had always been on time with the payments.

“Well, sir… the bar hasn’t been doing as well. I don’t have en– “
[break][break]
Gold was glaring his, his glare darkening as the clock talked. “I don’t care. You know what happens if I don’t get my money. I’m going to have to close this place down. And we both don’t want that.” He had to admit that if the scum came here, they were less likely to cause trouble, and that was usually a good thing. “Now. Give. Me. My. Money.” He raised his voice slightly and continued to glare at the bartender.
