THEY TRIED TO SAVE ME BUT I'M TOO FAR GONE THEY CALLED ME CRAZY SO I PLAYED ALONG Screw everything, blow everyone, and just fuck life in general. Those were the things Oliver was certain he planned on living by for the rest of his days starting tonight. He might not have been quite so dramatic about it all if he wasn't totally wasted, but right now, this was exactly how he wanted to be. At least his fake identification card was more believable this time. If they knew, they obviously didn't care. He slammed back another beer with a giggle to himself, causing a few of the people in the bar to stare at him. They were probably wondering what the hell was wrong with the kid, but he didn't really care. They could look, they could even laugh, but Oliver wasn't letting them get to him. His drunk mind was telling him that he was just being the life of the party and everyone was jealous since the bar was so tame tonight. Tame was just another word for lame.
With that thought, Oliver jumped up onto the bar stool. He was wobbling as he tried to keep his balance as while standing there. He had too much confidence for his own well being. "A drink for everyone... on- on me!" He shouted with a smile. Everyone just looked kind of confused, but he didn't catch onto their confused expressions. Mostly, he just thought they were all tired, boring adults. Rolling his eyes at someone who looked to be ordering their own drink after that, Oliver lost his footing entirely and slipped off the stool. His back hit the floor and he flung back his head, laughing uncontrollably.
When his laughing fit was over, he just laid there, starring at the ceiling of the place with a content smile on his face. His back might have been hurting if he hadn't been too intoxicated to feel it. It didn't look like anyone was going to disturb the odd boy laying on the floor, and he didn't even hear any of the whispers going around. With all of the loneliness he'd been feeling lately, it was great to feel happy for once. Even if it wasn't real and wouldn't last. | @hook | 363 words | yup. |
