I'm not just a SaviorBarely a few months in this town and already she felt as though she had bitten off more than she could chew. Not only was she still trying to wrap her head around Henry's rather strange theories, she now a mysterious puff of purple smoke. Which had sent the majority of the town's folk in a bit of a panic state. The question though was who or what had lead to the smoke and the purpose for it in the first place. Though she had a feeling this wasn't good by any means from what she knew of fairytales or rather just in general. Purple smoke didn't just happen on its own and that meant that somebody had to have brought it here so the question remained as to who was responsible. While she did think perhaps Regina might have had a hand in this mess, her thoughts turned towards the cunning and guarded Mr. Gold. After all, Emma had spent quite a bit of time dealing with this woman and although she had her issues, this didn't seem to be her work. No, whatever this was, it had a darker more mysterious purpose and so she decided to pay the man a visit. After all, he seemed to have his hands dirty in just about everywhere and from the odd time she had seen him, he seemed much happier.that's only half of who I am.
If you could even call the man happy on a good day, as she went by Granny's to have her normal hot chocolate and a bagel. Course, Henry had snuck off again and asked that Emma walk him there finding that the kid was really started to tug at her heart strings. She felt much happier in this town even if she was still getting acquainted and wasn't really use to staying in one place for as long as she had. Realistically, she hadn't even intended to stay for as long as she had, but Henry really seemed to be in need of her and well she was finding it hard to resist. Even if she still felt guilty about giving him up all those years ago, but she knew it had been the right decision at the time. Though if she'd known he was going to be so confused and seemingly out of tune with reality she would have tried to find him sooner. Honestly, she'd tried hard not to think about her past knowing it had only brought hurt and pain to her healing wounds. Still, there wasn't much she could say now as she dropped Henry off at school smiling as he told her how happy he was to have her. He always knew how to bring a smile to her face as she watched him walk into the building. If there was one thing Storybrooke had for her, it was having Henry. That kid was the highlight of her life and made her want to believe that anything was possible.
After ensuring Henry was safely inside, she turned her attentions to Mr. Gold's shop having seen it numerous times for one thing or another. She was determined to get to the bottom of this mystery and wouldn't be leaving without an answer as she crossed the street and made her way over. She could have brought her car, but she felt as though the walk might do her good so she made the long trek to the pawnshop. She figured he would probly play the clueless act, but something told her he knew more about what was going on then he was letting on. Especially after that display with that man who ran the flower shop, beating him to the point of nearly killing the man. Something didn't sit right with Emma about him as she continued through the streets passing a few people who greeted her. It felt nice in a sense to see so many welcoming faces while at the same time she normally spent the majority of her time alone. It was how she liked it on a normal occasion, except for when she had come to Storybrooke. Funny, how so much had changed in the blink of an eye because of this one simple town. A thought that still shocked Emma who hadn't even known this little town had even existed in the first place.
Arriving at the shop, she knew better than to knock on the seemingly closed shop. He didn't seem to be much of a people person either as she opened the door of the Pawn shop. It looked empty but, Emma knew otherwise considering the man seemed almost glued to his little shop. Or at least when he wasn't terrorizing the citizens into giving up their rent money or really anything that he may be in need of. Pushing her through the shop she glanced around the cooky old place, dust seeming to litter the place as she walked around. Her eyes catching onto a beautiful mobile intended for a baby's crib wondering what the story was behind that beautiful thing as she looked at it for a moment. She quickly shook her head though and turned to the more pressing matter at hand as she walked towards the back counter.
"Gold are you in here?" asked Emma as she stood there wondering where the old man was, waiting as patiently as possible despite not inwardly feeling all that calm. After all, everyone had a right to know what was going on and at the very least she would feel better to hear it from a relatively reliable source. While he wasn't always completely honest, he was far more trusting than Regina was considering her hatred of her.
