Emma's dark magic is beginning to take hold on her, they have been trying to find a way to take the darkness out of her but have been falling. On top of that a new threat has arisen. Years previous Rumpelstiltskin made a deal with a snowman to become human, because the snowman was a product of magic, he than possessed magic. But when he became human something changed inside of him hate consumed him until he was nothing more than darkness itself. Now with nothing but revenge on his mind he has tracked Rumpelstiltskin to Storybrooke and came through a portal. He's out for blood and with out the ability to have Emma help them, there at more of a risk than ever. Will Emma be able to overcome the darkness to help them overcome the new threat.
